Job Description
Responsible for:
- Accurately building pallets from Voice Picking System
- Proper loading of all products onto sales vehicles and in the specified quantities.
- Reporting all equipment problems to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Clean and neat appearance of warehouse.
- Wearing and maintaining specified uniform attire during all working days.
- Dumping trash in the warehouse area as needed.
- Sweeping glass and keeping trash picked up around dumpster.
- Keep all areas of the warehouse clean and organized before departure.
- Locking all Warehouse Doors and setting alarm.
- Turning off all automatic doors.
- Making sure all electronic warehouse devices are charged after shift.
- Making sure all warehouse equipment is charged as needed.
- Reports to Warehouse Supervisor.

Flint Hills Beverage, the #1 Beer Wholesaler in East-Central KS and throughout the Flint Hills Region, is now accepting applications for Operations Manager at our Osage City location. We represent dozens of beverage suppliers and serve hundreds of retail customers.
This position requires knowledge/experience with fleet, equipment, building maintenance, inventory management and logistics, and supervision of a small team of warehouse personnel. Job Responsibilities
- Supervise operations workforce
- Develop and monitor operations plans and schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to meet schedules
- Track and analyze operation efficiency measures
- Lead process improvement and initiate change
- Enforce and promote safe working practices
- Work with Sales Manager to maintain an adequate inventory of all packages through accurate forecasting and ordering.
- Assure accuracy of inventories for all packages.
- Maintains accurate inventories of empty cooperage and minimize them
- Performs weekly age code tracking reports and acts as needed or as directed by the General Manager to minimize finished product loss (FPL)
- Oversees building and grounds maintenance to create a neat, clean and organized look
- Participate in the development of annual budgets for vehicles, warehouse, equipment expenses and capital expenditures
- Reviews and approves for payment all operations related invoices/billings from vendors/suppliers
- Conducts safety meetings at least annually
- Completes accurate cooperage, inventory, ABC, and other supplier reports at or before their due dates
- Make sure all operations related AEA standards are met
- Maximizes AOE operations related score while staying within budget
- Pickup and drop off product at other wholesalers as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Leadership skills, comfort level with change, and the ability to lead change
- Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation
- Technical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work as needed including weekends and holidays
- Must have a valid CDL driver’s license and safe driving record
Supervised by: General Manager
Safety
Works in manner consistent with established safety requirements and standards as set forth by management and personal judgment. Maintains a personal driving record consistent with company’s automotive insurance coverage requirements. Reports all equipment problems to general manager. Reports any vehicle damage, and recognizes that failure to report such damage within eight (8) hours may result in termination.

I understand that setting an example of alcohol moderation both on and off the job positively affects the company’s image. I agree that: 1) alcohol abuse both on and off the job negatively affects the company’s image, and 2) a second conviction of DUI will result in termination of employment.

I realize my safety and the safety of other employees may be jeopardized by illegal drug use. Therefore, I agree to random, probable cause, or post-accident drug testing under the company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy.
I understand if I engage in prohibited conduct per our company Drug and Alcohol Policy I may be subject to termination of employment.
I realize that the performance of my job requires a driver’s license. Also, any DUI conviction/diversion either on or off the job may result in the loss of my driver’s license. Furthermore, other traffic violations, etc. may result in the loss of my driver’s license. Therefore, the loss of my driver’s license for any reason will be considered willful misconduct and may result in my termination of employment.
